The Norwegian composer John Persen (1941-2014) is most known for his orchestral compositions and for his 1985 opera Under Cross and Crown. His electronic music has come to light only very gradually, and in 'Electronic Works' performed by Jøran Rudi who worked closely with Persen. With the earliest synthesizers, drum machines and affects boxes on hand Rudi and Persen worked together in the studio over a 2 year period to compose a body of electronic works. This collection features a combination of premiere recordings with re-mastered and live compositions including music composed for a museum installation, all of which provide a compelling introduction to an aspect of Persen's compositions that is rarely made available.
