Homer of Homer & Jethro told Chet Atkins about Boots Randolph, and Chet signed him. A saxophone player never quite had enough to do in Nashville, but Boots came to town and began recording for RCA Victor. One of the titles he cut was the original version of his signature hit, Yakety Sax. This set includes all of his late Fifties and early Sixties RCA recordings, such as Big Daddy, Percolator, Hey Elvis, Red Light, Sleep Walk, So Rare und Bongo Band.
